Fiber-It is now almost universally regarded as an essential ingredient of a healthy diet. Without it, constipation, diverticulitis, and colon cancer would surely ensue, right? This is what I, more or less, believed until I was confronted with loads of evidence to the contrary. Eskimos eating their traditional zero fiber did just fine. They had zero incidence of constipation, diverticulitis or colon cancer, and the also had zero incidence of breast cancer, and coronary disease. In contrast, modern Eskimos who now eat the same diet as everyone else, including fiber, and get those modern diseases too, in fact they get them even more often.

Low carb diets are not even necessarily low in fiber. Check out she slide below. There are plenty of low carb foods that contain plenty of fiber. If you still feel you "need" your fiber, go ahead, Eat plenty of these nuts, berries and plants.
